Look! Proof! I actually did it!

Despite the fact that my feet were still not 100%, somehow I managed to get round and back to Lammas Park before closing time!

The FINISH line is usually always my totally favourite place but the 2019 Ealing Half Marathon had lots of other highlights thanks to the fabulous support en route.

Huge thanks to everyone involved, from the fab organisers and the many enthusiastic volunteers who really did above and beyond.

Ealing residents and youngsters who came out were just amazing, holding up signs, hi-fiveing, handing out jelly babies and water and playing uplifting tunes throughout the 13.1 miles.

Huge thanks to everyone who cheered me on when the going got tough ( er, that'd be quite early on!!!) and particularly on the home section when I was absolutely exhausted and my feet were feeling particularly painful.

Many lovely people were telling me I was running strong and doing great (even when I knew I probably looked awful!!). I got rather teary at several points - Pitshanger Lane was fab as always, party road Wimborne Gardens and the corner of Longfield Avenue onto Uxbridge Road with a fantastic crowd still cheering (even for us slow ones).

The last mile into Lammas Park is often one of the hardest but the atmosphere was just incredible and thanks to all the many runners who'd already finished but hung around and were supporting the rest of us.

So, it's done for another year. Read the full results here

Now it's time to rest, recuperate, fix my feet and...........
start training for 2020....

Er WHAT THE ACTUAL ?!!!
