Two teenagers including an unnamed minor from Southall have been charged with murder following the death of a 24-year-old man in North Kensington.

Charles Egonye, aged 19, of Wulfstan Street, East Acton and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were charged on Wednesday, 30 September. Both are due to appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.

The charges relate to the death of Kariem Abdelhalim, who was fatally injured in what police have described as a collision on North Pole Road in North Kensington. Earlier reports mention a chase involving a moped.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.20am on Friday, 25 September following reports of a man having been seriously injured. Police officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, but Mr Abdelhalim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police launched a murder investigation and arrested the two suspects on suspicion of murder on Monday, 28 September.

The Metropolitan Police said specialist officers continue to support Mr Abdelhalim's family.
