Child Assaulted at Northfields Underground Station
Police appeal for victims and other witnesses to come forward

British Transport Police have issued an appeal for information after a child was assaulted at Northfields Underground station earlier this summer. Officers are urging the victim and his father to come forward, along with anyone who witnessed the incident.
The assault happened at around 8pm on Monday 13 July, when a man followed a father and child towards the station’s gateline barriers before shoving the child. The pair left the station shortly afterwards, and officers have so far been unable to identify them.
No CCTV of the incident has been released by the police.
Police are now appealing directly to the victims to report what happened so officers can progress the investigation. They are also asking anyone who saw the incident, or who may have information about the man involved, to get in touch.
Members of the public can contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 733 of 13 July. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Officers say the appeal is an important step in ensuring the child and his father receive support, and in helping them identify the man responsible.
