A murder investigation is under way after a man in his twenties was fatally stabbed on North Road in Southall in the early hours of Wednesday morning (10 June) .

Police were called at 12.41am after the London Ambulance Service reported a stabbing outside a property on the residential street. Officers arrived alongside paramedics and found two men with injuries. Despite efforts to save him, one man – who had suffered a knife wound – was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are still working to trace and inform his next of kin.

Seven men, aged from their early 20s to late 30s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Six remain in custody. The seventh, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby, who is leading the investigation, said the incident appears to have followed “an altercation outside a property on North Road” and appealed for witnesses and footage.

“My thoughts remain with the family of the man who died,” he said. “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who has CCTV footage of what occurred.”

A large police cordon has been put in place on North Road and surrounding streets, and officers are expected to remain in the area while enquiries continue. Residents have been thanked for their patience as forensic teams work at the scene.

Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact police on 101 quoting CAD 215/10JUN26, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
