British Transport Police has released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify following a sexual assault on board an Elizabeth line train at Southall station.

The incident happened shortly before 8am on Tuesday 27 January, as the victim boarded a London‑bound service. Police say a woman was sexually assaulted during the brief boarding period, prompting an investigation by specialist detectives.

Officers are now appealing for the public’s help to identify the man pictured, who they believe may have information that could assist their enquiries.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said detectives had been reviewing CCTV footage and gathering witness accounts, and releasing the image was a key step in progressing the investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 455 of 27 January.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
