Detectives investigating the death of a man at a skip yard in Greenford have issued a public appeal for information and released an image of a man they want to trace.

Officers are seeking 30-year-old Bashar Al-Kadah who they believe may hold vital information about the incident. He was last seen in the Luton area on 9 August 2025, and police believe he may have since left the UK.

Police were called to a yard on Station Approach, Greenford, at 7:27am two days previously following reports that a man had been struck by a front loader, a type of plant machinery used on industrial sites.

Paramedics attended but the man died at the scene. A post-mortem examination confirmed that the victim, 34-year-old Yadvinder Satnam Singh, died from multiple injuries consistent with a road traffic collision. His family continues to be supported by specialist officers.

Detectives say they have spent six months carrying out extensive enquiries into Yadvinder’s death and are now in a position to name Al-Kadah and release CCTV images of him taken on the day of the incident. The investigation has included reviewing CCTV, analysing phone and banking records, and speaking to witnesses, but officers have so far been unable to locate him.

Detective Constable Cynthia Da Silva, who is leading the investigation, said, “Yadvinder’s death was tragic and our thoughts remain with his family and friends. We are committed to finding answers for Yadvinder’s family and have spent the past six months conducting extensive enquiries to identify the circumstances surrounding this awful incident. Despite hundreds of hours of work, including trawling phone records and banking details, we have been unable to locate Al-Kadah. We are now calling on anyone who recognises him or knows where he is to get in touch with police.”

As part of the investigation, two men in their forties were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in August last year. They were released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 01/7829119/25, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
