A 43-year-old man has been stabbed in Perivale after what police believe was a confrontation between a group of residents and a driver.

The suspect was in a blue car on Buckingham Avenue at around 9pm on Sunday (6 May) when he was questioned by residents of the road about the nature of his driving on the small residential street. He produced a knife before stabbing the victim and driving away.

The victim was taken to a north London hospital where he remains in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who saw the suspect leaving Buckingham Avenue and who is yet to come forward.

They would also like to speak with two women who were seen in a silver Volkswagen Golf shortly before the assault who may have valuable information.

Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to contact officers at Ealing via 101 quoting reference 7026/6May.
