The opening date has been announced for Brilliant Gastro the successor to the Brilliant Restaurant which recently closed after 50 years.

Dipna Anand, chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and TV personality will launch the new venue on 25 April in Parkside Yards at The Green Quarter, the major development project in Southall.

Her family has 75 years in the hospitality industry, five decades of which is in Southall.

Brilliant Gastro has seating for 80 guests indoors and a spacious outdoor dining area and it will also be offering local delivery and takeaway options. Dipna Anand is also relocating her cookery school to the new site.

She says, “As Southall transforms, so do we. This gastropub is my personal take on the flavours I love—a fusion of my Punjabi roots and modern influences. We're bringing something completely fresh to Southall's dining scene. There's nothing else like it!”

For light bites the menu will feature Okra Fries and Crazy Corn Chilli Ribs for light bites. For something more substantial there is the Chicken Biryani Arancini, fiery Dynamite Wings or the Banging Chicken Tikka Burger. For grill lovers, there's the ‘Smoking' Robata Chop and Charred Spiced Cauliflower Steak.

If you want to experience the full range of what is on offer you might want to try Dipna's Special Meat Feast Thali or the Vegetarian Thali.

For afterward they offer Cardamom-Infused Sticky Toffee Pudding, a Gulab Jamun Bomb, or a zesty Spiced Mandarin Cheesecake.

The restaurant will play a key part in establishing the development's popularity. It also contains a padel club, canoe club plus a tree nursery featuring over 600 air-potted trees and woodland sculptures.

A selection of apartments and townhouses are set within 13 acres of parkland, gardens, and water features alongside amenities including lifestyle stores and a gym, screening room and co-working spaces for residents.

Marcus Blake, Managing Director at St George, Berkeley Group, said, “Brilliant Gastro is a fantastic addition to Parkside Yards, which has quickly established itself as meeting point for friends, families and neighbours to socialise. Whether its coffee at Southall Coffee House or a match at Parkside Padel Club, there is so much on offer at The Green Quarter. The communities unparalleled location, moments from Southall station, and incredible amount of open space makes it an appealing place to live and visit. We look forward to the opening of Brilliant Gastro.”
