Chicken chain popular with celebrity rappers takes over TSB site
October 15, 2024 US based chicken chain Wingstop open its new branch in the centre of Ealing this Monday (14 October). It is situated in a corner unit at 31 New Broadway where the TSB used to be based. The 2,750 square-foot, 40-cover site will result in the creation of 70 jobs according to the company. Founded in 1994, Wingstop has grown rapidly, with locations across the United States and internationally. It offers a range of wing sauces and dry rubs from classic buffalo to unique options like lemon pepper and garlic parmesan. It is a social media led brand which, says all its chicken is freshly prepared and cooked to order and it aims to provide a casual dining experience or food suitable for takeout. Online delivery typically makes up a large proportion of its revenue. The Ealing outlet, which will be run by UK franchisee Lemon Pepper Holdings, is the 21st branch in London and the 52nd in the UK with a target of 300 to add to over 2,000 already in the US. Wingstop UK chief executive Chris Sherriff said: “We are thrilled to bring Wingstop to Ealing, expanding our reach across London. The success of our existing locations shows the demand is there, and we’re excited to bring our bold flavours to even more communities as we continue to grow. With 2025 shaping up to be another landmark year, we’re looking forward to further building our presence across the UK.”
