A house in West Ealing has been shut down after Metropolitan Police and Ealing Council secured a closure order in response to persistent complaints of alleged drug‑related anti‑social behaviour.

The order applies to a property on Felix Road and follows a joint investigation by officers from the Hanwell Broadway and North Hanwell Safer Neighbourhood Teams working alongside Ealing Council’s Safer Communities Team. According to police, more than ten residents came forward with information that helped build the case, providing detailed accounts of the disturbances and concerns that had been affecting the street.

The closure means the property cannot be accessed for a set period, and anyone attempting to enter can be removed or arrested. Police said the community’s vigilance continued even after the order was enforced: neighbours alerted officers when someone allegedly tried to break into the house, enabling a swift response.

Sergeant Naeem Fazal, posting on MetEngage, praised residents for their role in the investigation and the wider effort to restore calm to the area. “We would like to thank local residents for their invaluable support,” he wrote. “Over ten members of the community came forward with crucial information, which played a significant role in securing this closure order. Your willingness to report concerns and work with us has made a real difference in tackling anti-social behaviour in the area.

“We remain committed to keeping our neighbourhoods safe and welcoming.”

The closure order is one of several tools available to police and councils to disrupt properties linked to crime or persistent nuisance. Officers say the Felix Road case shows how community reporting can directly shape enforcement action, and they are encouraging residents across the borough to continue sharing concerns so issues can be addressed before they escalate.
