A list of homes sold in the area during the month
In the W5 post code area during May the average transaction price was £475,032. This was down on last month although price averages then were inflated by a particularly high priced sale. 41 properties were sold during the period with three going for over one million pounds. The most expensive property sold during the month was in Florence Road selling for £1,700,000.
In West Ealing (W13) the average price was £427,953 with 34 properties changing hands. The most expensive sold in the area during the month was on Waldeck Road going for £1,400,000 the only million pound plus transaction.
The May data from Land Registry's flagship House Price Index shows an annual price rise of 0.4% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £161,677.
London remains the best performing area in the country with prices rising by 7.7% to £365,359 over the same period.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during March 2012, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales increased by 25 per cent to 58,609 compared with 46,742 in March 2011.
The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in March 2012 decreased by 41 per cent to 501 from 845 in March 2011.
