Ealing Club Play Returning for One Night Only |
|
Another chance to see the sold out production at The Questors The Ealing Club play, which rapidly sold out during its run earlier this year, is returning to The Questors for one night only in the New Year. After a hugely popular run in October, due to ‘overwhelmingly popular demand’, it will be staged again on Saturday 7 January starting at 7.45pm. The Questors and The Ealing Club CIC are holding the performance in The Questors Judi Dench Playhouse. This will be followed by a post-show set from the West London-based band, The Hornets. Written by Julian Smith in collaboration with The Ealing Club CIC, The Ealing Club is a tale of bending notes, falling in love and almost being there for the birth of The Rolling Stones. It explores the lives of five young people, who find an escape from their beige lives in The Ealing Club—the birthplace of British Blues. Alastair Young, the head of The Ealing Club CIC commented, “As an organisation that helps curate the spirit of The Ealing Club, we are delighted that The Questors have successfully employed their expertise to illustrate the narrative of those who might have attended the earliest gigs of the Rolling Stones. We’ve had nothing but enthusiastic feedback from those that have seen the play.”. He added, “The talented Questors team has shone a light on the West London musical legacy that continues to have a global impact.” There will be a full set from The Hornets, who have been described by The Ealing Club as “The best thing to come out of West London since The Who.” For ticket information ring the Box office on 020 8567 5184 (open between 11am-1pm Mon-Fri & 6.30pm-8.30pm Tues-Fri). Also on at The Questors King Arthur and the Twelfth Knight runs from 8 - 31 December. See The Questors website for times. There will be 2 socially distanced performances, on Thursday 15 and Sunday 18 December. Standard tickets are £14 with Questors members paying £7 for themselves and £10 for their guests. Under sixteens and full-time students pay £7 and other concessions are £12. Tickets for the final two shows cost £18. You can book your tickets online or by calling the box office on 020 8567 5184. It is open between 11am-1pm Monday-Friday and 6.30pm-8.30pm Tuesday-Friday). The Remarkable Theatrical Adventures of Peregrine Proteus Set in 19th-century England, this rip-roaring new play tracks the life of an actor, from birth to stardom - and all the obstacles in between. Along the way, we meet a series of eccentric thespians, from inept performers to dotting romantics. This comic production boasts songs, fast-paced multi-rolling, and a Christmas finale to make history.
