An Ealing resident is making an appeal for information after she was burgled on New Year’s Day and issuing a warning to neighbours to be vigilant.

Anu Sharma was returning to her home at around 5.30pm when she saw a man running out of her bedroom towards the back of the house on Little Ealing Lane.

She believes the man accessed her back garden via the alley way between Chandos Avenue and Little Ealing Lane. He is thought to have left via the one of the ginnels heading towards Northfields (rather than South Ealing Road).

The man is described as white, well built, around 6ft tall and was wearing all black including a black puffer jacket.

Mrs Sharma says, “He stole my jewellery: two ornate bangles (antique finish) a MangalSutra (black bead and gold necklace) and a gold set with pearl in the earrings and necklace. He also took two Michael Kors watches. One Rose Gold plated and one Grey and Rose Gold plated and a pair of plain rose gold plated hoop earrings.”

She is hopeful that someone in the area has a working camera on their property or saw someone in the alley way or that someone may know of a person trying to sell or buy the items.

She said people in the area should remain vigilant of their home’s security adding, “We wouldn’t wish any of neighbours and community to experience a violation of their home’s safe space.”

If you have any information that might aid in this crime being solved you should contact the police in Ealing.
