CCTV images have been released of two men being sought in connection with a stabbing that took place in Southall last year.

On 30 September 2021, a 37-year-old man was chased by two men as he walked down Regina Road.

He was stabbed 18 times and left with life-threatening injuries which required him to stay in hospital for several months.

Following the attack, the suspects jumped into a car which was driving closely behind them which then left the scene at speed.

Detective Constable Mark Summer, leading the investigation, said, “This was a violent and brutal attack and the victim was incredibly fortunate not to lose his life.

“Tackling violent crime is our top priority and there is no place for this type of behaviour on our streets. We need to identify those involved so that we can prevent any further harm they may cause.

“We would urge anyone who has any information or who can identify those shown in the images to come forward and speak to us on 101 with reference 6486/30SEP21. Alternatively speak to Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

The police add that no detail about this information you have is too small and they urge people to get in contact.

An 18-year-old man from Isleworth was jailed for 15 years after attacking a man with a knife on the same road in October 2020. Police described it as a gang related incident but have not linked it to the more recent attack.

Crimestoppers is a totally independent charity and you remain 100 per cent anonymous, they never ask your name and they cannot trace your call, your IP address or device you use. Alternatively, visit their website.

If you are worried about someone you suspect may be carrying a knife or other weapon, advice and support is also available through organisations including Knife Free and Fearless.
