Five simultaneous drugs warrants were served at addresses in Chignell Place on Monday, 25 April at around 4pm.

All the men arrested were allegedly found in possession of cannabis. One was charged and another bailed pending further enquiries into a charge of intent to supply. Two others were issued with fixed penalty notice and one was released with no further action taken.

The police were assisted by members of the London Borough of Ealing (LBE) Council Safer Communities and Food Safety Team. One of the premises was closed by the Food Safety Team, who also served a second premises with an Improvement Notice.

Police say that there is no link between this operation and an incident outside Flynn's pub last month in which a man was seen with a firearm. They also say there is no connection between the arrests and the nearby West London Islamic Centre.

This is the second time that Chignell Place has been the scene of a major police drugs operation. In January 2015 six people were arrested after a raid by fifty officers. Police found 95 bags of the Class C drug khat in one venue, 35 bags and seven wraps of Class A drugs in a second location and at the third premises found 69 bags of Class C Khat and a large sack full of Khat. This operation was in response to complaints from the local community about drug use and anti-social behaviour in the area.
