Fulltone Orchestra and the Cantiamo Choir to perform tracks from iconic album
September 10, 2025 A symphonic reimagining of Enya’s influential 1988 album Watermark is set to take place at The Questors Theatre .The performance will feature the Fulltone Orchestra and the Cantiamo Choir in an orchestral and choral interpretation of the iconic New Age album. The concert on Tuesday, 7 October, titled Symphonic Enya, will present selections from Watermark, alongside a broader programme that includes works by Clannad, Karl Jenkins, Enigma, and compositions such as Riverdance and Palladio. First released in 1988, Watermark marked a major turning point in Enya’s career, bringing her international recognition with tracks like *Orinoco Flow*. The album is widely regarded for its layered harmonies, Celtic influences, and ambient soundscapes—hallmarks of Enya’s musical style. These characteristics will be translated into a live format through orchestral arrangements and a choir composed predominantly of female voices. The concert will be conducted by Anthony Brown, founder and musical director of the Fulltone Orchestra. Solo vocal performances will be provided by Amelia Jones, Teresa Isaacson, and Jemma Brown—all classically trained singers with diverse performance backgrounds in both traditional and contemporary music. Amelia Jones is known for her work in film scores and crossover compositions. Teresa Isaacson has performed in concert halls across the UK and works as a vocal coach in musical theatre. Jemma Brown, also a vocal coach, most recently performed with Fulltone in The Peacemakers and leads a community choir. The Fulltone Orchestra, established in 2017 by Brown, is comprised of musicians from across the South West. The group has built a reputation for performing both classical and contemporary repertoire with cinematic flair.
According to organisers, the upcoming performance aims to offer a reflective and immersive musical experience, revisiting a pivotal album from the late 1980s and situating it within a broader celebration of New Age and Celtic-influenced symphonic music.
