Hanwell special needs charity seeking to win funding
March 12, 2025 Hanwell-based St. Ann’s Foundation is looking for support from the community as part of its bid to win funding for a project. To mark 25 years of providing life-changing technology, the charity Lifelites is offering to provide assistive technology, installation and training to support to 25 organisations. The projects will be chosen partly based on the amount of support received in a public vote and St. Ann’s Foundation is asking people from the area to pick it. Assistive technologies are critical tools in its classrooms and it aims to actively integrate innovative practices and technologies that support personalised learning paths for each young person. This helps students enhance their communication skills and improve their engagement. Its dedicated classrooms offer flexible environments where tailored learning can take place and these spaces are outfitted with various resources that facilitate hands-on learning, collaboration, and movement, allowing students to thrive academically and socially. Voting for the Lifelites 25 Community Projects is open from 9am Monday 10 March to 9am Monday 24 March. St Ann's School is a school focusing on children with special educational needs. The school caters to 110 secondary students. The St Ann’s Foundation aims to provide additional resources beyond which those that are paid for by the council ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for them.
