The police are appealing for information about the circumstances leading up to the death of a teenager whose body was recovered from a canal in Southall.

19-year-old Thomas Agathangelou was spotted in the water at around 11:25am on Bank Holiday Monday (26 May). He was recovered from the canal along with his motorbike but was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family is being supported by specialist police officers.

It is believed that he entered the water near Endsleigh Road the previous day (Sunday 25 May). Officers from the Met Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who saw or heard anything in that area on that day.

Anyone who witnessed anything or has relevant details is asked to contact police, quoting reference CAD 2654/26MAY25. The witness line can be reached on 020 8543 5157.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help raise funds for funeral expenses for Thomas which, at the time of writing had raised over £2,000 from more than 100 individual donations.
