|Ealing Woman Charged Over 'Terror Plot'|
Accused of failing to tell of husband's 'jihad' plans
Bouchra El-Hor, 23, from Ealing, has appeared at City of Westminster magistrates court charged with terrorism offences. It is alleged that she was aware of details of a terrorist plot by her husband but failed to inform the authorities. Her husband is also in custody but police are not releasing any details of the plan other than to say it was not related to the recent arrests of people allegedly intending to blow up airplanes.
Ms. El-Hor's husband is a cleric named Yassin Nassari who was arrested last month. The pair were first held after arriving at Luton Airport from Holland on May 30th. She was initially released but then was re-interviewed last week and then charged under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. She has dual Dutch and Syrian nationality and appeared in court wearing a burka which covered her eyes and hands.
The defence have said that a not guilty plea will be entered as the plans and the letter were a fantasy and there were no actual plans to carry out any terrorist attack.
Ms. El-Hor was remanded in custody and is due to appear at a committal hearing next week. Her husband is to appear at the Old Bailey on September 29th.
