Public welcomed back with two new exhibitions
The Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery reopens its doors to the public this Thursday (27 May) after a long period of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fittingly, the relaunch features an exhibition detailed the experiences of Ealing people during the pandemic. This Is Ealing puts on display photographs submitted to the gallery showing aspects of life in the area during lockdown. The exhibition is free to Ealing residents and runs from Thursday 27 May to Sunday 6 June. At the same time Soane Restored will reveal the fascinating story of how Pitzhanger was restored to Sir John Soane's original vision, reinstating the key interior and architectural elements lost for over a century. Entry is included in general admission charge to the Manor. From 2 June to 24 October Pitzhanger will present a new body of work by renowned British artist Julian Opie, including site specific pieces, focusing on architecture, people and nature.
