Comedy Downstairs at the Drayton returns on Friday September 4, with two top comics - the award winning master of surreal silliness Paul Foot and top Comedy Store headliner Sean Meo.

And with a BBQ in the huge beer garden beforehand, and a free disco till late, it promises to be a great night to kick off the new season.

Foot  is one of comedy's true eccentrics, a surreal and flamboyant one-off whose inspired rantings turn the mundane into the magical and often reduce audiences to tears of laughter. His comedy has earned him an array of awards and TV and radio credits.

He is a former winner of the BBC New Comedy Award and the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award, as well a Perrier Newcomer nominee.

His TV and radio work include Out to Lunch (BBC Radio 2) Unanimous: The Fallout (E4 / Channel 4); Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive (BBC); FAQ U (Channel 4);  Guest on Big Brother’s Big Mouth (E4 / Channel 4); Stand Up Show (BBC 1) and 28 Acts in 28 Minutes (BBC 3)

Sean Meo  is a former snooker player who has since risen to the top of the UK comedy scene, regularly headlining Jongleurs and The Comedy Store where he is a leading member of The Cutting Edge.

He also has a impressive array of TV and radio work on his CV including Saturday Live, (ITV), Live At Jongleurs (UK Gold), The Stand Up Show, and Summer In The City, (BBC 1), Talking About Sex, Channel 4, Dial Midnight, (LWT) and True Lies - (Radio 4).
