Pay and play sessions set to resume over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend
With Spring on the way and the weather getting warmer Ealing Croquet Club will again be running public Pay & Play sessions on Saturday afternoons. The first session takes place over the Easter weekend on 8 April at the croquet site in Lammas Park. The club says that croquet is a fun and sociable game that offers something for everyone and can be enjoyed whatever your ability. For those interested in developing their croquet skills a little bit further the club will be running two "Introduction to Croquet" courses during April and May. Under the guidance of qualified club coaches, course participants will gain an overall understanding of the game of croquet and develop a range of skills and strategies for playing. Players under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The course is suitable for beginners with little or no prior knowledge of croquet covering: The price per session is £7 or £20 for three and courses can be booked online. After the course, which is open to those aged 16 or over, all participants will be offered the option to attend a free club session at Ealing Croquet Club to try out their newly acquired skills against club players. The course fee is deductible from the annual croquet club membership fee if you subsequently decide to join the club. If you are not sure if croquet is for you, a free trial session can be arranged by contacting secretary@ealingcroquet.org.
