Passengers using London Underground Piccadilly line services at South Ealing station are facing months of disruption due to works being carried out on the platforms.

Initially westbound trains towards Heathrow will be non-stopping at the station until the middle of December. Then eastbound services will be similarly affected until late January.

The works commenced this Tuesday (31 October) with passengers traveling westbound from South Ealing advised to travel to Northfields and return on an eastbound train.

TfL issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by these work which it says are necessary to upgrade and improve the station for passengers.

It is believed that the surfacing on the platforms and stairs did not meet current safety standards and this required the work to be undertaken.
