A person was killed at Hanger Lane London Underground station this Sunday afternoon (12 February).

The emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.40pm after a casualty was reported on the tracks.

The victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, is believed to have been hit by a Central line train.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said, “We were called at 1.41pm today (12 February) to reports of an incident at Hanger Lane Underground Station.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The Central Line was closed between North Acton and Northolt afterwards but reopened a few hours later.

It is understood that the police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
