Kittens Found Abandoned by Bins in Perivale

The RSPCA are currently looking after three kittens who were abandoned near dustbins in Perivale last month.
Lita, Jeff and Matt were discovered by a member of the public on 13 October at around 3:30pm, who called the animal charity.
Animal Rescue Officer (ARO) Phil Heyes came out to rescue them. He said: “The kittens are about 3 months old, two tabbies and a tortoiseshell.
“They were discovered in an empty cat carrier with wet food tipped in - so whoever has dumped them must’ve done it not long before they were discovered.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area on 13 October and might have seen the kittens being dumped, or anyone who recognises the kittens. We urge anyone with information to contact RSPCA’s appeals line on 0300 123 8018, quoting reference 01169234.
“We know that times are tough, but abandoning animals is never the answer - if these poor kittens hadn’t been found, they might not have had such a happy ending. There is lots of help and advice for people struggling with their pets and people should always get in touch with local animal welfare groups if they need help. Neutering is also essential to prevent unwanted litters like this one.”

The kittens were taken to RSPCA Finsbury Park Animal Hospital where they were treated for fleas. They are now at an RSPCA branch centre and are ready for rehoming.
Over 20,000 cats are rescued by the RSPCA every year, but neutering cats can avoid hundreds of unwanted kittens in rescue centres.
