Police investigating a suspected murder in Perivale have named the victim.

Formal identification took place yesterday,( 8 September), and the woman has been named as 55-year-old Ghada Habib of Buckingham Avenue.

Officers launched the investigation following the discovery of the body at a house in Buckingham Avenue, Perivale, on Monday, 6 September.

Police and London Ambulance attended the address at 14.03hrs after concerns were raised about the welfare of a resident.

The body of Ghada Habib was found inside she had injuries to her head.

A post mortem examination took place at Uxbridge Mortuary on Tuesday, 7 September and gave cause of death as severe blunt trauma to the head.

Next of kin have been informed, an Inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course.

The Homicide and Serious Crime Command at Belgravia are investigating under DCI Andy Redwood. Anyone with information is asked to call the Incident Room on 020 7321 9251.

Police were called at 17.26hrs on Monday, 6 September, to a man suffering injuries at an address in Brunswick Road, W5, he was taken to a west London hospital and released later that evening. On his release he was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a central London police station where he remains.
