Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a body at a house in Buckingham Avenue, Perivale yesterday (on Monday, 6 September).

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the address at 14.03hrs after concerns were raised about the welfare of a resident.

The body of a woman was found inside the house with injuries to her head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed, but police await formal identification to take place.

A post mortem examination will take place at Uxbridge Mortuary on Tuesday, 7 September.

An Inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course.

The Homicide and Serious Crime Command at Belgravia are investigating.

Police were called to an address in Brunswick Road, W5 yesterday. A man was taken to a west London hospital and released later that evening.

On his release he was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a central London police station where he remains.
