Detectives investigating two sexual assaults on women in the Northolt area believe they are linked and have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection.

The first attack took place on Wednesday 10 August. Police were called to Church Road at 9.28am and gave support to the victim who said she had been assaulted in the nearby underpass at the White Hart Roundabout shortly after 5am.

A crime scene was put in place and an investigation was launched by specialist detectives.

Later that same day, a second woman came forward and told police that she had been raped at the same spot around midnight before the previous attack.

Detective Constable Stephen Gayfer said, “We are doing all we can to support these women and to investigate these allegations.

“Our enquiries have led us to identify a man seen on CCTV who we urgently want to identify and speak to.

“I urge anyone who recognises this man, or who was in the area at the time of these incidents and saw anything suspicious, to come forward.”

Anyone with information should call 101 with the reference 1980/10AUG. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
