A man has been charged with murder by police in connection with the killing of a man in a West Ealing pub.

58-year-old Timothy Simon, of Ray Walk, Islington is due to appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 26 July.

The police were called to the Star and Scorpion pub on the Uxbridge Road shortly before midnight on Saturday 23 July after a report of a stabbing.

A 58-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and the police say specialist officers will be supporting them.

Mr Simon was arrested the following day.
