A man from Southall is one of two people being charged with murdering Kai Davis in Kingston last month.

22-year-old Ben Myles of Kelvin Gardens is due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 3 September charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon along with Joseph Barker, also aged 22, of Clifton Gardens, Uxbridge.

Both men were arrested by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command on Wednesday, 1 September.

22-year-old Kai Davis from Hounslow died in hospital after being stabbed after a disturbance in Clarence Street, Kingston on the afternoon of Saturday, 21 August. A post mortem later established that he died of a stab wound to the chest.

A large number of people were at the scene and police are urging witnesses to come forward.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the same time on suspicion of murder and has been bailed to a date in mid-September. An 18-year-old man was also arrested and has been released with no further action.
