A man from Southall has been arrested along with a 13-year-old boy by detectives investigating the murder of Shakur Hassan.

21-year-old Guled Hassan, of Convent Way, Southall, has been charged with the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in connection with the death of Shakur who was shot on 13 October 2020 near Hayes town centre.

The police have not confirmed that Guled Hassan is related to the victim.

He was found by paramedics on Austin Road at around 10pm and despite their efforts, he died at the scene.

On Monday, 18 January, Guled Hassan was charged with murder. The 13-year-old was charged with murder and perverting the course of justice.

Both are remanded to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 19 January.

A 16-year-old boy was charged with murder on Saturday, 24 October and he is currently remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 21 and 22 January for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

46-year-old Jamie Ayres, of Broomcroft Avenue, Northolt appeared at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 29 October and will return to that court on 21 and 22 January.
