A 27-year-old woman from Hanwell has been charged with murder after the death of her partner Stephen Rayner.

Mr Rayner, aged 25, was found outside their flat on Baker House on Nightingale Road with a stab wound to the neck at around 11pm on Saturday 17 September. He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead within the hour.

The couple are reported to have lived at the property with Ms Hart Browne's two children aged three and seven. Mr Rayner is the father of the younger child, a boy.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

“She was taken to a north London police station where she remains in custody.”

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command led by Detective Chief Inspector Lee Watling are investigating.
