Open new shop in Pitshanger Lane on Friday 10th September

Chiswick's favourite delicatessen, Mortimer & Bennett has joined forces with specialist wine importer Harrison’s to open a wine and cheese shop at 60 Pitshanger Lane, Ealing, the first of its kind in the area.

Mortimer & Bennett was established in 1990 in Turnham Green Terrace, Chiswick. Importing from small producers throughout Europe, often on an exclusive basis, it has become one of London’s leading delicatessens.

Mortimer & Bennett will be selling farmhouse cheeses from across Europe, olives and a selection of foods that will complement Harrison’s wine offerings which are drawn from exclusive family-run vineyards and wineries across the world, with an emphasis on French and Swiss wines.

Harrison’s has been supplying wines to leading retailers and the restaurant trade for over 30 years, and has an impressive portfolio of growers among its suppliers.

The new shop, at opens on Friday and has a lovely little garden at the back for tasting events and wine and cheese evenings.

Pitshanger Lane is one of the few streets left in London with a strong community spirit (www.mypitshanger.co.uk). They regularly hold street events, in which all the local shopkeepers participate.
