London Councils has made a short film to promote the Freedom Pass, the most comprehensive concessionary travel scheme in Europe.

The Freedom Pass allows 1.3 million older and eligible disabled Londoners to travel free on the capital’s public transport as well as buses across the country.

The chair of London Councils’ Transport and Environment Committee, Cllr Catherine West said: “The film takes us on a journey across London with the Ladies Who Bus as they gather material for their blog, including the Bus Stop Dance.

During their travels, the ladies talk about the freedom that their passes offer and explain how the Freedom Pass, which has been run and paid for by London boroughs for more than 20 years, helps older and disabled people Londoners to maintain their independence.”
