This Friday afternoon, The Park Club will play host to The British Swimming Heroes Tour. Olympians from across the pool disciplines will be at the club holding a series of master classes. Athletes attending include medal winners Michael Jamieson (silver) and Beccy Adlington (two bronzes).

There will be 10 swimmers, potentially 4 divers, 2 water polo players, 7 synchronised swimmers and 1 disability swimmer at the event.

Athletes confirmed for The Heroes Tour include Rebecca Adlington, Michael Jamieson, Keri-anne Payne, Simon Burnett, Ellen Gandy, Gemma Spofforth, Adam Brown, Hannah Miley, Dan Fogg, Roberto Pavoni, Pete Waterfield, Nick Robinson-Baker, Monique Gladding, Rosie Morris, Chloe Wilcox, Jenna Randall, Olivia Federici, Yvette Baker, Katie Clarke, Jennifer Knobbs, Vicki Lucass, Katie Skelton and Kate Grey.

Another medal winner may be attending and this will be announced immediately on confirmation.

Whilst swim places for 8-12 year olds are now FULL for this spectacular, Park Club members and their guests can still book a place to share in the experience and be inspired too. A limited number of places are available so the Park Club are advising members to pre-book their free child member spectator place with reception where a special photo indemnity form must also be completed.

The Master classes will cover swimming, synchronised swimming, diving, mini polo, and water safety and lifesaving skills. There will also be a chance to watch Race an Olympian and the athletes will be available for photos and autographs during the event.

Guests of Park Club members are also welcome, subject to availability for space at a charge of £5, which must be paid in cash as this is donated to The Swimming Trust.

The British Swimming Heroes Tour is sponsored by British Gas and aims to inspire children to get involved in aquatics and to become the future heroes of British Swimming.
