A concert with a sound system like no other will rock Wembley Arena next month.

Following the sad news of Jim Marshall’s death in April this year, the event, which was already planned to commemorate Marshall’s 50th Anniversary, will now be held in honour of the legendary man and his remarkable life.

To celebrate Jim’s musical innovation, Marshall is taking over Wembley arena on Saturday September 22nd for a full on rock n roll riot.

Billed as ’50 Years Of Loud Live’, the line up for the event reads like a who’s who from the Rock and Metal Hall of Fame. The Marshall team is bringing together some of the biggest rock gods on the planet all of whom are keen to pay their respects to Jim Marshall.

Broadcaster and comedian Al Murray will compère alongside Iron Maiden’s Nicko McBrain and they will be joined by the world’s most legendary guitarists, acclaimed musicians and Marshall enthusiasts.

Mike Portnoy, Andy Fraser and Kerry King join the acts previously announced for the event including multiple Grammy nominee and Chickenfoot super-group founder Joe Satriani, Ozzy Osbourne collaborator and founder of Black Label Society Zakk Wylde, one of rock's premiere virtuoso guitarists Yngwie Malmsteen, technical wizard and Guitar Magazine’s "Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time" Paul Gilbert, Whitesnake’s Doug Aldrich and Brian Tichy,  The Cult’s Billy Duffy, Slipknot/ Stone Sour front man Corey Taylor,  Judas Priest frontman Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens and Trapeze, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath vocalist and bassist Glenn Hughes.

There are also further big names expected to be announced.

For half a century Jim Marshall OBE and the Marshall team shaped the sound of rock on stage and in the studio with artists as diverse as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, Gary Moore and countless others.

Kerry King (Slayer) commented;

“If I stand in front of my rig, if my nuts ain't shaking then I ain't satisfied . . . and the only stuff that can do that is my Marshalls!  Marshall has help helped shape my career in so many ways.  The company even produced my very own fearsome, ass kicking signature amp “ The Beast” . To me Jim Marshall was the ultimate rock star because he and his team made us all sound better.  It’s an incredible honour to have my signature on an amp right next to him and an incredible honour to play at this event. Let’s make it thunder!

Artists have played a massive role in the success of Marshall.  Jim had personal contact with each Marshall owner and the artists became a real part of the ‘Marshall Family’. So it is only fitting that this ‘Marshall Family’ pay tribute to their founding father the best way they know how -  turning it to 11!

Paul Marshall, Head of Artist Liaison and part of the Marshall dynasty commented;

“Family has always been at the heart of everything Marshall does and all Marshall owners are very much part of the ‘Marshall Family’. It has been so heartening to see the amazing tributes paid to Dad.  He certainly made a huge impact on the world! This event aims to be a fitting tribute to Dad’s life and we are honoured so many artists want to get involved!”

Tickets for the event are on sale now priced at £35.00 subject to booking fees and are available via www.ticketmaster.co.uk/ www.livenation.co.u
