The first night of the Autumn Season of Comedy & Curry welcomes three newcomers to Watermans

Sunday 13 September @ 7.45pm

Earl Okin headlines -- He is famous for his musical comedy and has a following all over the world - even among people who don't speak English! Earl has almost single-handedly kept the Edinburgh Fringe going. He has performed at Edinburgh more often than anyone else.

He is supported by Steve Hall - A finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award and Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award, Steve Hall made his fringe debut in the sell out Edinburgh show Three Men and a Giant. Steve is currently working on their eagerly anticipated sitcom series for BBC Three.

MC-Lateef Lovejoy - He is best known for his skilful blend of stand-up and impressions and been showcased on ITV's Young, Gifted, and Broke.

Three very different performers all on the same night - you won't be disappointed

Sunday 27 September @ 7.45pm

A fortnight later, Watermans favourite and national treasure, Jeff Innocent, is back for the first time this year. He is supported by Zoe Lyons and the MC for the night is Neil Cole.

Jeff Innocent -- There really is nothing about stand up that this man doesn’t know. He is funny, topical and has such an engaging manner that you think you’ve become his best friend when he hits you between the eyes with a thought that rocks the aisles!

His many television credits as actor, stand-up and presenter include; Edinburgh Nights (BBC1), Gas (Ch4), I Love 1999 (BBC 1), Later with Jools Holland (BBC 2), The National Lottery Show (BBC1), The Stand Up Show (2 series for BBC 1), Take the Mike (ITV), Time Gentlemen Please (Sky), Real Eastenders (Ch4) and Brief Histories (BBC 3).

A prolific writer, Jeff has written for The Independent and The Scotsman and contributed to the book 'Sit Down Comedy' (published by Ebury Press). Jeff is currently researching a documentary for radio and working on several TV projects including a new sketch show for Sky 1

Zoe Lyons: If Best Newcomer nominee, 2007, burst onto the comedy circuit in 2004, winning the prestigious Funny Women competition and reaching the final of Channel 4's 'So You Think You're Funny' and has since established herself as one of the country's leading comic talents. Zoe is an extremely versatile performer. Her works spans corporate training, radio acting, live TV presenting, and stage sketch shows.

MC Neil Cole – TV writer, presenter and stand up comedian, Neil is a man of many talents, including MCing for music events at The Royal Albert Hall and supporting Russell Brand on his UK tour, 2007. He should have no trouble keeping his colleagues on track and making sure the audience enjoy themselves.

Along with great comedy, audiences can enjoy a curry for just a fiver with the Guru Tandoori’s Curry deal. You can eat before the show, at the interval or afterwards and pick from a selection of dishes.  For reservations call 020 8232 1011.
