Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside Ealing Common tube station.

Police and an ambulance crew were called to the scene on Thursday night after reports of an incident involving two men.

They found a 24 year old man with head injuries. He was treated at the scene and then taken to Charing Cross hospital but has since been released.

Uxbridge Road was closed eastbound from Ealing Common and westbound from Birch Grove and buses were diverted away from the scene. Police say the suspect is a 30 year old man of Asian appearance, possibly wearing a red top.
