After their success at the Lyric in 2004 with The Japanese Garden, TPO, one of Italy's leading children's theatre companies, return for another mesmerizing journey - this time far away to the lush and vivid world of a Kurdish Garden. Based on the paintings of the Kurdish artist Rebwar Saeed, The Kurdish Garden combines dance, music and visual art with TPO's pioneering new computer technology, The Children's Cheering Carpet. During the performance the audience is invited onto TPO's magical carpet where the story unfolds to their own sounds and movement as a virtual garden blooms into life. The experience of being on TPO's magical carpet is like being inside a virtual world. In one scene a child might find themselves chasing uncatchable stars across a dark blue sky, in another they might be swimming with fishes. Anything is possible!
