Fashion With a Conscience

National Fairtrade Fortnight Hits Ealing

Fashion and ethics are not the most obvious bed fellows but Ealing Fairtrade Group are hoping to marry the two this weekend at St Paul’s Church, Ridley Avenue, W13.

It’s all part of National Fairtrade Fortnight, which runs from February 26 to March 11. The Ethical Fashion Show promotes the range of ethical options for people who don't believe that it's fair to wear clothing produced at the expense of other people and the planet.

There are also over 15 stalls selling fairly traded items from countries from Argentina to Zimbabwe, including jewellery, dresses, crafts and food and drink.

There will be four shows - 11.30, 1pm, 2.30 and 4pm – between 11am and 5pm. Entrance costs £2 or £1 with concessions.
