Film to mark 200th Anniversary of Abolition of Slavery

Young people and children invited to take part in project

To mark the 200-year anniversary of the abolition of slavery, Margaret Noel is organising an exciting film project. Children and young people are invited to take part.

Anyone interested in making or appearing in the film (aspiring actors, dancers, writers, directors...) is welcome.

The film will be screened next year in Berwick-on-Tweed, Scotland  in Paxton House which had links with two slave plantations in Grenada. The families of those involved will be invited to attend. The organisers hope to help them with travel arrangements and expenses. It is likely that the film will also be screened in Acton.

The project is open to all children/young people aged 7-18 and starts this Friday 7-9pm at the Priory Community Centre, Acton Lane W3 8NY.

Entrance fee £1
