A Brentford resident is warning householders to be on their guard when paying water bills. Adam Philip was sent a bill by Thames Water on April 1st. Water charges came to £246.83

to which had been added £47.86, an outstanding charge from a previous bill. However the total amount requested on the tear-off Bank Giro slip consisted of £322.22 - meaning that an extra

£47.86 had been added.
