Exhibition at Gunnersbury Park Museum Puts Spotlight on Ealing Studios

The Exhibition at Gunnersbury Park is called 'Kind Hearts and Coronets- 100 Years of Ealing Studios' is a must for any film buffs or people just interested in local history. The history of Ealing Studios is displayed through original posters and artefacts. The exhibition also comes up to date with information about what is happening at the Studios at present.

The tradition of comedy is still being followed with the remake and release of 'The Importance of Being Ernest' earlier this year.

The exhibition not only shows the glamourous side of the Ealing Studios but also the work-a-day activities and family like atmosphere of the place. This is reflected in photos of the staff cricket team and childrens' Christmas party.

The exhibition is a great resource for local schools. It also shows how something so local played such an important role in our historical cultural life and perhaps also how we view ourself as a 'nation'.

The exhibition is open from 1pm - 4pm everday and is free. The entrance is in Popes Lane.
