Ealing Fairtrade Group drumming up support

Sat 8th July, Make Poverty History

Ealing Fairtrade Group write:

"Exactly a year since the world's richest countries told us they were committed to making poverty history at the G8 summit in Edinburgh, we want to make sure that the UK government turn their words into action. At noon, be part of a world first - a campaign drumming petition.   Organised by Christian Aid, this is a world record-breaking attempt to get at least 10,103 drummers to play all at once.
Where and when? Saturday 8 July, 12 noon, Christ the Saviour Church, Ealing Broadway, W5.  This is one of numerous simultaneous events across the UK - and you can be part of it.  If you don't have a drum, bring a bucket, tub or pan and a wooden spoon. Enthusiasm is far more important than drumming experience or ability!  It is expected to last for around half an hour, so please come if you can.

The London Borough of Ealing Fairtrade Group is promoting Fairtrade in Ealing, and welcomes the support of individuals, groups and businesses. As well as campaigning to become a Fairtrade Borough, the group is also contributing to London becoming a Fairtrade City.   London will achieve Fairtrade status when 17 of the 34 boroughs have been declared Fairtrade Boroughs."
