A 23 year old Brentford man faces surgery after a vicious attack.  The incident happened at 11.00pm on the 27th August as the man walked home along London Road.

When he reached Petsmart, he was approached from behind by an unidentified person and was hit around the head with what is to be thought to be an asp (a retractable baton) and fell to the ground.

The victim got up and ran in the direction of Bush Corner only to be stopped by a second suspect on a red mountain bike.

The victim was told to get down on his knees and ordered to hand over his mobile phone and money.  The suspect on the mountain bike then took a picture of his kneeling victim using a mobile phone and fled.

The victim, whose jaw was left broken in two places, was able to give a description of one of his assailants as being around 20 years old of Asian appearance with short black hair, a goatee beard wearing a grey hooded top and black trousers with a white stripe down the leg.

Police are asking for anyone who has information on the incident to call PC Julian Crabb on 020 8247 5940.
