None of those things. It’s just very low on the priority list, rather like street cleaning which has disappeared now that the elections are a rapidly receding memory.Of course, they will need enormous bins in Walpole Park when the 1200 seat theatre opens there next year.

There will be a reckoning at some point, Peter. People are being squeezed ever more and from all sides. It’s why a lot of families are moving out of London, for a better quality of life. What will local authorities do when they’ve finally eradicated private car ownership in London, cutting off the supply of easy money? They will be after the householders.

Del Boy Mason will be long gone by then. Promoted above his worth onto the Labour gravy train. Who will be next to take on running Ealing into the ground?

Well in some other places in this country residents are told to take their litter home if they want it to be recycled (which a lot of people do) as the litter from some litter bins is not recycled. They have big notices on the bins to this effect.  We are very lucky with the regular separate kerbside waste and recycling collections that we have in Ealing.
