Retrieved near Three Bridges in Southall Thursday afternoon

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after been found unconscious in a canal in Southall this Thursday afternoon (16 May).

The police say they were called by the London Ambulance Service at 2:07pm to reports of a man found unresponsive near Three Bridges.

Officers attended and a man was pulled from the water.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and was said to be in a critical condition; police await further details.

Enquiries are continuing.
