Police Community Fun Day

---

Held at Ealing Trailfinders club Thursday 21st August

Local residents got the chance to see the MPS helicopter 'up close and personal' ( instead of just hearing it!) at the MPS annual fun day held in W13.

The MPS tweeted their own picture from the helicopter as it was about to land saying :
I99 landed to support a community event @EalingMPS thx for coming to say hello and to Pc Jenkins for organising it.

Children were delighted to see representatives from all the emergency services, and were able to climb aboard a fire engine and play with the sirens on the police cars.

They had the opportunity to look inside the vans and dress up in riot gear and wield a baton...

The police dogs also proved popular as did the tactical firearms team who displayed and talked about the variety of the weapons they are trained to use.

Fortunately rain didn't stop play for very long and all the children and adults seemed to thoroughly enjoy this interesting insight into the work of the emergency services.
