Owner occupied and rented properties on a selection of roads
Grants of up to £6,000 are available towards the cost of solid wall insulation for residents in parts of Ealing’s Elthorne ward, through the government’s Communities Fund programme managed by the National Energy Foundation (NEF).
The grant, which is available for both internal and external wall insulation, is open to owner occupied and private rented properties. A customer contribution is required. In addition Lakehouse, the council’s Green Deal Provider for this scheme, will offer extra funding of between £400 and £950 a home depending on size and eligibility.
The programme runs until September 2015, unless funding runs out before that date. Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis, and the deadline for applications is Sunday, 31 May 2015.
As a special incentive, the project is running a 'Show Home' competition to select an eligible Ealing home to showcase the solid wall insulation to other local residents. The winner will receive £10,800 towards the cost of the insulation and be asked to contribute 10% towards overall costs. The deadline for completed ‘Show Home’ applications is Friday, 8 May 2015.

All the installations will be carried out by a Green Deal approved company working in partnership with Ealing Council.
