Greenford Murder - Men Bailed

Officers appealing for witnesses

Six men arrested after the death of a woman in Greenford have been released on police bail pending further investigations.

Geeta Aulakh, 28, was found with a severed hand and serious head injuries in Braund Avenue, at 7pm on Monday. She died later in Charing Cross hospital.

Police believe Ms Aulakh was attacked on Monday evening, shortly after leaving work, at Sunrise Radio.

She was found a short distance from the front door of her childminder who looked after her boys, aged eight and nine.

One line of inquiry is that she was attacked and then dumped on the pavement in Braund Avenue, at its junction with Verulam Road.

Her husband, from whom she was separated, is one of a group arrested on suspicion of murder - all six men were bailed to return in mid-January 2010 pending further inquiries.

Detectives want to talk to people who may have tried to administer first aid to Ms Aulakh before paramedics arrived.
